Our Story

We met in 1999 doing volunteer work. He was a 17 year-old boyscout and I was a smitten 16-year-old girly girl who worked with local crisis pregnancy centers. Pretty much from that moment on we were inseparable. We got married in 2004, two weeks after he re-turned from tech school and we've been living the dream together, as a military family ever since. We are blessed with wonderful family and friends and three beautiful children, Brian, Ami (pronounced Amy), and Phillip.

The Mrs.

Born and raised Nor-cal girl, i went to public school through 7th grade and then my parents made the brave choice to homeschool me! It ended up being the most amazing thing that could have happened. I received so many opportunities, was politically active at a young age, began my college education in high school and without it I wouldn't have met the love of my life. I have a B.S. (LOL) in Criminal Justice.  I became pregnant with our son during my last semester of college and am blessed to be a stay at home mommy to him and our daughter. I love to scrapbook, read, knit and crochet and quite enjoy the military life and those that it has brought into my life!

The Mr.

He is a wonderful husband and father, currently serving in the Air National Guard, but has been active for his entire length of service. So that means he's AGR..and that usually takes too long to explain.  Saying "10 years of Active National Guard Service" usually brings very confused looks.  I usually just say Air Force, working on a Guard Base, because that is the least confusing of my options...but you get the drift.  He works extremely hard with long hours, and is gone a lot, but still manages to spend as much time as possible with us....and all while still pursing his degree in Criminal Justice. All of this allowing me to stay home and be a mommy to my children.

The Kids

Brian is a rambunctious boy, allllll boy, who thinks he's the boss of everyone and everything. He knows the names of Air Force planes and Army Helicopters and has just about every one in toy form, as well as a way too big collection of what seems like every current hot wheels car available today.  He will be starting kindergarten and I'm terrified.

Ami is our little princess and unfortunately she knows it. She is the pesterer of her brother, is the key to daddy's heart and gives mommy a reason to buy all things pink, purple and frilly and bow-ie.

Phillip is our newest addition and he is clearly mommy's boy....this is probably our last and I'm fighting tooth and nail (although not really *evil laugh*) to not spoil and baby him.  He is the most laid back baby of my children, clearly because his siblings are crazy.  He is smily and happy and loooovvvveeesss his big brother.
